As we continue to progress towards Christmas Day, your anxiety could be progressing as well. With all the various seasonal events happening right now, maybe you are having a difficult time catching your breath. Parades, shopping, relatives, pageants, you name it; there is a lot going on. My own schedule is pretty full as well, and it can be easy to lose sight of what's really important.
I find it easy to become pessimistic when things get rough. It can feel natural to believe that things will NOT get better. I get it! When we start to feel like that, we have to remember that times and seasons are exactly that; they only last for a time. It will stop. Until then, we have to work on changing our thought patterns. As hard as it can be, we must not look to ourselves for peace and contentment, as we will never find it in us. This year, look outside yourself for the peace and contentment you are seeking. Look up, and let your searching delve into heavenly things, your peace of mind will be glad that you did.
